Port aux Basques to Rose Blanche
Port aux Basques is the first glimpse of Newfoundland for anyone taking the western ferry route from Nova Scotia (another ferry goes to Argentia, near the capital city of St. Johns.) From Port aux Basques, a narrow, 2-lane road winds through wild and scenic country about 30 miles (40km) east, past several small communities, and terminates at Rose Blanche and Harbour Le Cou.
